Booking & prices
Can I book a flight on SyriaRoutes?
No. SyriaRoutes shows prices and compares connections, but does not sell tickets. Booking always happens directly with the provider, on their terms and through their payment process.
Why is the price sometimes different after I click?
Airfares change constantly. The values here come from a database that is refreshed regularly — the binding price is always the one the provider shows at booking. Every offer states how old its price is.
Does using SyriaRoutes cost anything?
No. The site is free. It is funded through affiliate links: if you book through one, SyriaRoutes may receive a commission. Your price does not change because of it.
Flights & routes
Are there direct flights to Syria?
From Europe, usually not. Connections normally involve one stop — via Istanbul, Beirut, Amman, Doha or Dubai. From Türkiye there are seasonal direct flights to Damascus and Aleppo.
Which airports in Syria are served?
Mainly Damascus (DAM) and Aleppo (ALP). Latakia (LTK) and Qamishli (KAC) are served only to a limited extent.
When are flights to Syria cheapest?
Prices rise sharply before public holidays and during the summer break. If your dates are flexible, connections outside those periods are usually noticeably cheaper. The time-frame filter on the offers page shows the difference directly.
Entry & visas
Do I need a visa for Syria?
For most nationalities, yes. The rules depend on your citizenship and change from time to time. Only the competent Syrian mission and your own foreign ministry give binding information. SyriaRoutes does not advise on this.
How current is the travel guidance here?
SyriaRoutes does not publish its own safety or travel warnings. Check your foreign ministry's official guidance before booking — it is the only reliable source for that.
